Funny Things Kids Say Continued...

The other day I wasn't feeling well and Christian came and sat next to me on the couch and said "mom, I'm sorry you don't feel good. But it's ok because I will take you to the Dr and she will make you all better".

Christian is such a sweet and loving child! He's the best!

Adventures with Sidewalk Chalk!

We had our very first sidewalk chalk adventure yesterday! Our driveway and sidewalk are now full of colorful drawings of Elmo, outline tracings of Christian, a sun, starts, and clouds! Christian loved the sidewalk chalk and I'm very impressed with his skills! He's always loved arts and crafts so it's no surprise that this is a huge hit! After nap today (laughing a little at myself for thinking that nap might actually happen) we will be hitting the great outdoors of our cul de sac for Sidewalk Chalk Adventures Part 2! Check later for pictures (I still have to find my charger!).

No Crying for My Preschooler!

Christian no longer cries when I drop him off at preschool! Tuesday and today have been a tear free day! He just says "bye mom, love you, see you later!" and runs off to play with his new friends! My little man is growing up!! I'm so proud of how well he is doing in school and nice he is to the other kids (I have to admit that I was worried about that!).

Some of My Favorite Pictures of The Past Year

What a Busy Day!

Yesterday, March 12, was such a busy day! Christian was in a great mood and wanted to do something fun, so we went to the Imagine Children's Museum in Everett with Kristen and Derrick. Derrick is Christian's best friend, and Kristen mine, so it works out great! :)

The boys had a great time at the Children's Museum, but it was packed so we didn't stay long. We decided to go to McDonalds for lunch and then to the Open Gym at Sky Valley Gymnastics. Every Friday they have a 1 hour open gym where you can bring your kids to get some energy out! They can go on the tramploine, the beams, roll on the ground, jump into the foam pit, go on the rope swing, etc. Both of the boys had a great time and were all tired out (perfect!) so we came home and put the boys to bed.

About 30 minutes later, Christian is supposed to be taking a nap, but I can hear him upstairs walking around...not thinking much of it as he now sleeps in underwear and gets up often to use the bathroom, I just kept reading my facebook posts! All of a sudden, I can hear water dripping from somewhere I turn around and as I do, the fire alarms go off! Christian starts screaming and I run upstairs as fast as I can. I grab Christian and go to run out the front door but realize there is not a fire...the alarms are going off because water is dripping from one of them. I search the house to try to figure out what's going on. I'm thinking that the roof is leaking or something. Come to find out, Christian had plugged the toilet and flooded the bathroom, which went through the floor, through the ceiling, and out the fire alarm!

Tim is at work so Anthony (Derrick's dad) came over and turned of the fire alarms and I cleaned it all up...what an event!

To end the night, Kristen, Anthony, Tim, and I took the kids out to dinner and bowling! This was their very first REAL bowling experience. They had a great time and Christian insisted on doing it all himself. He rolled the ball by himself at a whopping .4 mph, but it eventually made it down the lane! He even got a spare on the first roll (such a natural at everything he does). He ended up with a score of 53...not far behind my score of 94...he's pretty good! :)

What a day! Guess I better get used to this kind of stuff with a 3 year old boy in the house!

The Funny Things Kids Say...

Christian just walked up to me with his helmet and asked if I would put it on him. Upon asking why he wanted his helmet on, he proceeded to tell me "because I will ride my bike to the store to get you milk and some food for dinner...sounds like a deal?" TOO CUTE!

Update On Preschool!

Christian did so well at preschool today! He cried when I dropped him off (as usual), but he did manage to get out a "bye mommy" in between screams. That's much much better than he has done before.

His teacher says he is doing so well! Today was the first day he played with the other kids and actually interacted with them so I was so excited to hear that. They each get a 30 minute gymnastics class as part of their preschool time and he loves it. They even moved him up to the advanced class because he does so well. He can do sommersaults, do jumps on the trampoline, and can even hang from the bar (with help of course). You know hanging from a bar is a major accomplishment for a 3 year old!! He is very proud of himself and he told me today as we were leaving that he LOVES going to preschool!

I'm so proud of our little man!

Welcome!

I figured it wouldn't hurt to create a blog so anyone that is interested can keep up on our activities! With Christian being in so many activities now and not everyone being close enough to come see him, I wanted to create a blog where you can see pictures, updates, and more! I hope you enjoy and if there's anything you'd like to see that I'm missing, please let me know!

Love You All!
